The Battle for the ages is here, and you are invited! |
Come hear tomorrow’s artists perform right now and support the growth of the industry as Legacy Productions and Ichthus Ministries, Inc. present the Battle For Christ 2009, a competition of 48 Christian bands. Come witness Christian Rock and Contemporary Christian bands contend on the stages of several Tennessee venues starting this Saturday, February 7. The winners of the battle will receive a stellar prize package, one could even say a musician’s dream: a performance spot at Ichthus 2009 (Contemporary winner will play on the Main Stage, Rock winner will play on The Deep End), the headline spot at Crossfest (May 30, 2009 in Knoxville), placement in the Ascenxion Scout Project (which will present the opportunity to land a Development Record Contract with Word Records), recording time at Legacy Recording Studio, and TV and radio airtime in the Tennessee region.

Remember when we said you are invited? Well, when it comes to a battle, the more the merrier! The first of the four first-round competitions begins at noon, February 7, in Athens, TN. Other first-round shows are as follows: Saturday, February 28 in Sweetwater, TN; Saturday, March 28 in Chattanooga, TN; and Saturday, April 25 in Murfreesboro, TN. |

| Here is another opportunity to play Ichthus in 2009. Enter one or several of the battle of the bands competitions and play your way to Ichthus. The winner of the finals in May will get to play on the Deep End Stage at Ichthus and also get a slot in the Ascenxion scout competition battle at the first with an opportunity to compete for a development deal from Word records.
