The Global Village debuted at Ichthus in 2010, and it has become a centerpiece of the festival. It features various ministries that serve poor, oppressed, and suffering people in the U.S. and around the world. It brings the "Live Love" theme to life by including experiential displays, hands-on activities, and an introduction to ministry organizations who are living love all over the world. The Global Village will encourage you to live love in practical ways by getting involved in God's work around the world through these ministries.  You will have the chance to learn about important global issues like human trafficking, poverty, world hunger, the AIDS epidemic, orphan care, and many others. But you won't just learn about these issues...you'll be encouraged to do something about them. Our Global Village sponsor, First Southern National Bank, will particularly encourage you to get involved with what you already have. They will encourage you to not only "live your love" but to "give your love" as well--as you invest your time, talent, AND TREASURE to the needs of poor and oppressed people all over the world.

Special attention will be given this year to human trafficking, tornado relief efforts in Eastern Kentucky, and child poverty.
