Ichthus Missions, now in its 4th year, offers you the opportunity to roll a missions experience and a festival experience into one fun-filled, love-filled, spirit-filled week. And we’ve packaged it all together for you — missions trip, festival wristband, housing and food options — for one easy, per-person cost.
Arriving on Sunday you’ll spend the first few days on the mission trip of your choice. On Wednesday you’ll travel to Wilmore to rock out at the festival through Saturday night. Sunday morning you’ll head home with great memories and plenty of stories to tell.

Our mission at Ichthus is that your group doesn’t just come to have a good time, but they are transformed into more loving disciples for Christ. Our ministry teams are empowered, in the spirit of liberty, to use their individual gifts in the creative means that The Father has equipped them. The ultimate goal is not to be a group of students with the purpose of DOing a service project, but to BEcome a group of servants living in the presence of God, not just while you are on a trip but to take Him home with you!
Whether you’re looking for something rural or urban, down and dirty home repair, or working with kids we have something for you. All Ichthus mission projects are coupled together with worship, teaching, bible study, discipleship and times of reflection.
Below is a brief description of each trip. Specific details regarding lodging and meal information will be added soon.
Christian Appalachian Project Trip
Location: Eastern Kentucky
Pricing: customizable from $219 - $299 per person
Partnering with the Christian Appalachian Project Ichthus mission workers will have a variety of projects to do from simple cleaning and painting to minor repairs and full remodels, (depending on skill levels). The inner beauty of this mission is the opportunity to spend an extended amount of time with an individual family: the relationships formed between ministers and those being ministered to is something that words usually can’t explain… it can usually only be explained through experience.
LexReach Trip
Location: Downtown Lexington, KY
Pricing: customizable from $219 - $299 per person
Co-laboring with the Catholic Action Center among other local ministries in downtown Lexington, those that choose to serve at “LexReach” will perform a variety of tasks depending on the needs of the communities at that time; (isn’t it about time we as the Body of Christ start asking people how we can truly minister to their needs as opposed to telling them what we are going to do for them?) Each group will have the opportunity to prepare and serve lunches to the children of Lexington that are on the school lunch program during the school year, (that might not otherwise get a meal), as well as love on God’s people during a “Free Community Picnic,” Groups in the past have built playgrounds, picked up trash in a “homeless community,” organized and given away food, clothing and other personal needs to those in need.
Location: Central & Eastern KY
Pricing: $299 per person
Confrontation Point (CP) is our ministry partner specializing in growing servant-leaders by combining missions with adventure. Workers with CP will have at least one day of adventure (options include climbing, rappelling, paddling, ropes course or caving) and two days of service (options include home renovation, Ichthus recycling campaign or wilderness area conservation). Groups will be provided food, gear, spiritual journals and college-age leaders while they camp in beautiful parks.
Home Repair Trip – Home base and lodging will be located in Salyersville, KY. Service will take place in a multi-county area in Eastern KY.
Inner-City Trip – Downtown Lexington, KY
Adventure & Service Trip – Home-base is Wilmore, KY, but groups may travel throughout Central and Eastern KY to locations such as Red River Gorge, Laurel County, Whitley County, Jessamine County.

Missions Partners
Catholic Action Center
Founded in June, 2000, the Catholic Action Center is based on the Catholic Worker Movement, began by Dorothy Day. The center is a house of hospitality that welcomes all who are in need. It is a faith based outreach of volunteers who strive to provide all guests a welcoming place to receive their basic needs with dignity. The mission of the center is to “fill in the gap” of services for our brothers and sisters in need with no government funding by providing an opportunity for people of faith to connect with and serve the marginalized of our community. Three meals a day, shower and restroom facilities, mail receipt, a telephone, clean clothing and a place to gather are all a part of the hospitality offered. Caring ears to listen and connections with social service agencies are also available. Daily prayer services are held for those who hunger spiritually.
Christian Appalachian Project
The Christian Appalachian Project is an interdenominational, non-profit Christian organization committed to serving people in need in Appalachia by providing physical, spiritual and emotional support through a wide variety of programs and services.
Confrontation Point
Confrontation Point has been combining missions with adventure since 1981. Your youth group will grow as a team while they camp, face outdoor challenges and do significant service projects. For a “green” mission, groups can choose our Creation Restoration trip. We also offer home repair, urban missions or wilderness backcountry. For more information, go to confrontationpoint.org.
